Legg Hall was a portion of the second floor that was
added to the existing building in 1868. It was used for traveling shows, local
productions, basketball games, as well as for roller skating. As silent films
became more popular across the country, the space became known as the Huxford
Theater the 1910s. In 1940 or 1941, the theater changed its name to the
Colonial and a new marquee was installed. After the Colonial was closed in
1977, the second floor was converted to condominiums and the marquee was
removed. Today, the building look much like it did in the 1940s, although the
façade of the building is somewhat obscured by the trees that line the
sidewalk.
