Notes:
Laine scored Montréal’s eighth consecutive power play goal, becoming
the first player on record since 1933-34 to score eight consecutive power play goals.
Phil Esposito (1970-71) and Bronco Horvath (1959-60) each scored seven
consecutive power-play goals for the Boston Bruins; Nels Stewart scored seven consecutive
goals for the New York Americans in 1936-37. Laine is also the fifth player to
score his first eight goals with a franchise on the power-play (Risto Siltanen,
10, Quebec Nordiques; Marek Zidlicky, 10, Minnesota Wild; Dwight Bialowas, 8,
Minnesota North Stars; Victor Olofsson, 8, Buffalo Sabres).
